Please join in prayer each evening for a Holy Hour in Adoration of our Lord Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament at 8pm during these troubled times. One of the priests of the parish will lead prayer and adoration, reflection and petition to the Lord, and you are very welcome to unite yourself spiritually with the Lord and follow through the parish webcam: https://www.mcnmedia.tv/cameras/cathedral-of-christ-the-king-mullingar
Each evening, the Rosary will be said at 6pm. You and your families are encouagedt to join in this act of prayer to Our Lady, that through her intercession this outbreak may be turned back.
#MESSAGINGMATTERS: The parish is very conscious of the impact the current crisis can potentially have on the mental wellbeing of parishioners who are self-isolating for long periods, the elderly or sick, those out of work, those who are anxious or fearful.
To receive a text ‘message of hope’ from the parish each morning, parishioners are invited to text “Y” to 0831141430 and a text or thought for the day will be
sent to those who sign up. Our hope is it helps to keep everyone connected during these times. Parishioners wishing to speak to the Parish Office or a priest should contact the parish number: 044 9348338
An Act of Spiritual Communion
(When unable to receive Holy Communion)
I believe that You
are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.
A Corona Virus Prayer
Lord Jesus Christ, our Divine Physician,
we ask you to guard and protect us from Coronavirus COVID-19 and all serious illness.
For all that have died from it, have mercy;
for those that are ill now, bring healing.
For those searching for a remedy, enlighten them;
for medical caregivers helping the sick, strengthen and shield them.
For those working to contain the spread, grant them success;
for those afraid, grant peace.
May your precious blood be our defense and salvation.
By your grace, may you turn the evil of
disease into moments of consolation and
May we always fear the contagion of sin more than any illness.
We abandon ourselves to your infinite mercy. Amen.
