Does your child want to make Confirmation next year?

Is your child in 5th class?

Children attending 5th class in primary schools are now invited to enroll for Confirmation.

This means that the children will receive lessons for Confirmation between now and Confirmation Day next year, either through the parish primary schools or through the parish ‘out of school’ programme.

Enrolment for Confirmation will take place next weekend – 23/24 May – which is Pentecost Sunday.

Children should complete the Enrolment Form ( SEE BELOW) with the help of their parents and guardians.

Children are required to bring this form to one of the following Masses next weekend (23 – 24 May):

Cathedral – 6.00pm (Saturday 23 May) or 12.30pm (Sunday 24 May)

St Paul’s Church – 10.30am or 12 noon (Sunday 24 May)

Gainstown – 11.00am (Sunday 24 May).

We ask your help is circulating information about this Enrolment Sunday with other children in the parish who may wish to receive Confirmation next year.

The Enrolment Form is also available from the parish office (044 9348338) and on the parish Facebook page.

Confirmation Enrolment Form

I wish to enrol to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on Saturday the 12th March 2016 in the parish of Mullingar.

I know the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation is a sacred and important moment in my life,  to help me prepare for this celebration I promise to do my best to:

·     Take time each day to pray

·     Come to Mass every weekend

·     Take part in the preparation for Confirmation at school, in the parish and at home

·     Be the kind of person that Jesus would want me to be at home, at school and in the parish community
