ChristmasEve2013

Christmas Eve at the Cathedral

The children's Mass is over and a big thank you to all the people who took part in this special celebration. Likewise, thanks to the Gospel Choir and everyone at the Vigil Mass in the Cathedral. Now Mass is just about to begin in St Paul's Church at 9.00pm.

The Cathedral Choir has gathered, warming up for Mass of the Nativity of the Lord, which Bishop Michael Smith will celebrate at 10.00pm.  The Cathedral looks beautiful.  The sacristans and florists, together with Kevin and his crib team, have done wonderful work.  Christmas at the Cathedral would not be possible without so many helping hands.  We will remember you and pray for you at Masses on Christmas Day.

Tomorrow is another day .... one more sleep, as the children tell us!  It is a joy to celebrate the Feast of the Lord's birth with our parishioners, especially those who have travelled home to be with their loved ones.  We think in a special way of those who are away from home.  You are most welcome to follow our ceremonies which are live streamed on this website and to join us in prayer.
